De-rigging
De-rigging can be done by two people if a wing stand or trestle is available to
support one wing.
Prior the de-rigging the TEK-probe at the vertical fin should be removed. Remove
all sealing tapes applied during rigging. Completely dump all water ballast tanks.
Horizontal tailplane:
o
Using the mounting screw, pull out front tailplane attachment pin.
o
Lift the stabilizer´s leading edge slightly and pull the tailplane forward and
off.
Outboard wing panels:
o
Force the spring loaded locking pin of the winglet with the mounting pin
down and pull the winglet from the outboard wing panel.
o
Swing up locking lever with the aid of the mounting screw.
o
Carefully pull off outboard wing panel.
Inboard wing panels:
o
Unlock airbrakes.
o
Set water ballast control knob forward to the “closed” position.
o
Set flaps at “0”.
o
Unlock handle of main wing pin.
o
Lift wing panel until the main wing pin is unloaded. Pull out main wing pin up
to the last 2 to 3 cm (0.8 – 1.2 in.) and withdraw the
starboard
panel by
gently rocking it backwards and forwards if necessary.
o
Thereafter remove main wing pin and withdraw the port panel.
