8. Attachment and operation
m
Important!
You must fully assemble the appliance before using it
for the first time!
8.1 Fitting the wheels (Fig. 5)
• To attach the wheels (12), pass a washer with the
wheel bolt through the wheel. Then add a wash-
er and a hexagon nut on the inside of the wheel.
Fasten the nut by hand so that the wheel still can
be rotated.
• Push the wheel unit through the ear below the tank.
•
Fasten it with a washer, a safety washer and a nut
and tighten them securely.
•
Repeat this process with the second wheel.
8.2 Fitting the supporting foot (Fig. 4)
• Attach the rubber feet on the ear at the bottom of
the tank’s front side using the screws, washers and
nuts provided.
8.3 Fitting the air filter (
Fig. 6)
•
Warning: The air filter must be installed before the
initial use. Using the device without air filter will
damage the compressor and void the warranty.
•
Remove the transportation stop (G) and screw the
air filter (15) to the equipment.
8.4 Changing the transportation cover (B)
(Fig. 9,10)
•
Remove the transport lid (E) of the oil filling open
-
ing (F).
• Fill the included compressor oil into the crank hous-
ing and insert the included oil sealing plug (14) into
the oil filling opening (F).
• Check the oil level in the sight glass (16). The oil
level should be in the centre of the red circle.
8.5 Mains connection
• The compressor is equipped with a mains cable with
shock-proof plug. This can be connected to any 230
- 240V ~ 50 Hz shock-proof socket.
•
Before you use the machine, make sure that the
mains voltage is the same as the operating voltage
(see the rating plate).
•
Long supply cables, extensions, cable reels etc.
cause a drop in voltage and can impede motor
start-up.
•
At low temperatures below +5°C, sluggishness may
make starting difficult or impossible.
Wear hearing protection.
The effects of noise can cause a loss of hearing.
m
Warning:
Noise can have serious effects on your
health. If the machine noise exceeds 85 dB (A), please
wear suitable hearing protection.

7. Before starting the equipment
•
Before you connect the equipment to the mains sup
-
ply make sure that the data on the rating plate are
identical to the mains data.
• Prior to initial commissioning, remove the transport
plug (F) and fill the crank housing with oil as de
-
scribed in item 8.4.
•
Check the equipment for damage which may have
occurred in transit. Report any damage immediately
to the transport company which was used to deliver
the compressor.
•
Install the compressor near the point of consump
-
tion.
•
Avoid long air lines and supply lines (extension ca
-
bles).
•
Make sure that the intake air is dry and dustfree.
• Do not install the compressor in a damp or wet
room.
•
The compressor may only be used in suitable rooms
(with good ventilation and an ambient temperature
from +5 °C to 40 °C). There must be no dust, ac
-
ids, vapors, explosive gases or inflammable gases
in the room.
•
The compressor is designed to be used in dry
rooms. It is prohibited to use the compressor in ar
-
eas where work is conducted with sprayed water.
• The oil level in the compressor pump has to be
checked before putting the equipment into opera-
tion.
•
The compressor may only be used outdoor briefly
when the ambient conditions are dry.
•
The compressor must always be kept dry and must
not be left outdoors after work is complete.
