Maintenance
Warning: Before any maintenance or cleaning work turn off
the motor and unplug the mains plug.
Fig. 9 und 10
1 After the first ten operating hours, empty the crankcase
by removing the oil and refill with clean oil. For this
purpose, remove the oil plug on the crankcase (on the
bottom left of the crankcase).
Caution: SAE 30 (viscosity 30) or L-DAB 100
over 10 °C
SAE 10 (viscosity 10) or L-DAB 68 below 10 °C
2 After 500 operating hours always drain off the oil via the
drain plug (17) and refill the crankcase with clean oil.
3 After each operating day release the condensate by
using the drain plug (11) below the tank.
4 Check the interior air filter cartridge at regular intervals.
Remove the plastic cover (A) from the casing (B) and
clean the filter (C). After the cleaning insert the air
filter again and close the cover.
Caution! Never let
the compressor run without air filter.
5 Check the functioning of the safety valve on a
daily basis. While checking the valve, the pressure value
in the tank must be nearly at the maximum.
To check the valve, put the tank under pressure and pull
the ring on the safety valve outwards.
Air should now be escaping from the valve.
Loosen the ring on the safety valve and the air outlet
should stop.
Warnings
For this test you have to wear goggles.
During this test keep your face away from the safety valve
because air with high pressure will escape from this valve.
Should the safety valve not function properly as described
above, switch the compressor off immediately and have
the valve checked by your retailer.
If the safety valve does not function correctly as described
above, do not work with the compressor.
General inspection
1 At regular intervals, check that all attachment screws
are properly and securely tightened.
2 Check the electric cable for damages regularly and at
frequent intervals. A damaged cable must be replaced
by an expert in order to avoid any hazard.
Cleaning
1. Always keep the air inlets and outlets free and clean.
2. Remove dust and dirt regularly using a soft brush or
cloth.
3. Lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
4. If the compressor body needs cleaning, wipe it with
a soft, moist cloth. You may use a mild detergent but
no alcohol, benzine or any other cleaning agent.
5. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts.
Caution: The device must never get in contact with water.
