Operator Positioning and Panoramic Exposures
Please Note: Always observe the patient during examination and be ready to terminate the
exposure, if necessary, at any time.
The proper position for the operator during panoramic exposures is:
•
Behind the patient, 10 feet (3 meters) from the column (in the designated safe
zone, as described in
Figure 14
), or
•
Outside the exam area or operatory.
