Detailed Description
Video Processing
The MVPHD-24 uses a 3 dimensional COMB filter for the composite input, and a motion compensated processor to de-
interlace all interlaced video formats to full progressive video. All processing is performed on the progressive images at 10 bit
resolution per channel. The input resolution is automatically detected and processed with a high performance scaler to produce
the desired resolution at the outputs. Multi-tap frame rate conversion is performed when changing frame rates, and a secondary
scaler is used to down-convert the output video to composite.
Composite / YC / Component Inputs
The analog video inputs use 3 multi-purpose BNC connectors for either composite/Y/C signals or component
signals. These inputs accept standard NTSC or PAL video signals (videotape machines, video cameras,
tuners, video disks, video games, etc.) having composite, Y/C and SVHS signals. Alternately these inputs
accept SD/ED/HD component video signals with YPbPr (Betacam or SMPTE-EBU levels), and RGB (sync
on green) color formats.
SDI Input
The SDI input supports SD (270Mb/s) and HD (1.485Gb/s – 2.97Gb/s) formats up to 1080p-60. A re-
clocked loop output is provided.
