Quick Start Guide – Basic Setup
Input Connection:
Connect the source to the appropriate input connector:
Composite video connects to
INPUTS

CBVS/R/Pr
BNC connector.
Y/C video connects to
INPUTS
-
Y/G/Y
and
C/B/Pb
BNC connectors.
Component YPbPr video connects to
INPUTS
-
CBVS/R/Pr
,
Y/G/Y
and
C/B/Pb
BNC connectors.
Component RGB video connects to
INPUTS
-
CBVS/R/Pr
,
Y/G/Y
and
C/B/Pb
BNC connectors.
VGA connects to
VGA IN,
HDMI connects to
HDMI IN,
SDI connects to
SDI IN
.
Input Menus:
Press
INPUT
button to access input menus.
Press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Input Source
menu.
Use the Knob or +/- buttons to select the desired source.
Once a source is selected, push on the knob to enter selection.
The new selection will now appear at the top left corner of the front panel display.
If input source is YPbPr, then press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Input YPbPr
menu.
Use the Knob or +/- buttons to select between EIA770/EBU or Betacam.
Note: EIA770/EBU is 100% color = 700mV, Betacam is 75% color = 700mV
Output Connection:
Connect a video monitor to the appropriate output connector:
Composite monitor connects to
OUTPUTS

CBVS/R/Pr
BNC connector.
Y/C monitor connects to
OUTPUTS
-
Y/G/Y
and
C/B/Pb
BNC connectors.
YPbPr monitor connects to
OUTPUTS
-
CBVS/R/Pr

BNC connectors.
RGB video monitor connects to
OUTPUTS

and
C/B/Pb
BNC connectors.
VGA connects to
VGA OUT,
HDMI connects to
HDMI OUT,
SDI connects to
SDI OUT

Output Menus:
Press
OUTPUT
button to access output menus.
Press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Primary Output Mode
menu.
Use the Knob or +/- buttons to select the type of output being used:
(Composite, YPbPr, RGB, SDI, VGA, or HDMI).
Once the primary output is selected, push on the knob to enter selection.
The selected primary output is always shown on the top line status of the front panel display.
If output monitor is YPbPr, then press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Output YPbPr
menu.
Use the Knob or +/- buttons to select between EIA770/EBU or Betacam.
Note: EIA770/EBU is 100% color = 700mV, Betacam is 75% color = 700mV
If output monitor is Composite, then press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Composite Standard
menu.
Use the Knob (rotate) or +/- buttons to select the desired standard (
NTSC, PAL-M, PAL, or PAL-N
).
Once the color standard is selected, push on the knob to enter selection.
Press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Output Frame Rate
menu.
Use the Knob (rotate) or +/- buttons to select the desired output base frame rate.
Once the base frame rate is selected, push on the knob to enter selection.
The selected output frame rate is always shown on the top line status of the front panel display.
(Note: multiples of the base frame rates are possible, depending on the selected format)
Press NEXT or PREV buttons to locate
Output Format
menu.
Use the Knob (rotate) or +/- buttons to select the desired format.
Once the format is selected, push on the knob to enter selection.
The selected output format is always shown on the top line status of the front panel display.
