Trouble shooting procedure
If problems occur, which cannot be solved by the help of this Manual, the Schleuniger distributor or the tech-
nical staff of Schleuniger is ready to assist you. In such situations it is essential to provide a precise description
of the matter.

Product description and serial number of the product

Exact description of the fault (feeding errors, crimp errors, etc., if available)
■
Under what circumstances has the error shown up
■
What peripheral devices where connected to the crimping machine when the error occurred
■
Wire type to be produced at the time the error occurred

Every shift – After every shift, the upper and lower crimp tooling should be checked and inspected for damage.

Cleaning
NOTICE
No compressed air!
Never use compressed air to clean the applicator. Using compressed air could force debris into unwanted or
concealed areas. This may result in additional wear on the mechanisms.
Daily
– Once a day, clean the applicator to remove any scraps with a soft bristle brush and/or a vacuum
cleaner.
Weekly
– Once per week or after every 25,000 crimps, the applicator should be completely disassembled and
cleaned thoroughly. Lightly but thoroughly lubricate all required parts.
