specialists (see chapter 1.8).
Always shut down and disconnect the compressed air supply before carrying out any maintenance
work.
DANGER
Ignition sources during maintenance/repair work
Risk of explosion
►
►
Ensure that no potentially explosive atmosphere is produced during
maintenance/repair work.
Measure the resistance after all maintenance/repair work.
As a basic principle following repair or maintenance work, check the safety features
(see chapter 9.1) and equipotential bonding (see chapter 5.3).
9.1 Inspecting safety features
Check the non-return valve at the start of every shift (if the unit is not operated continuously) or once a
week (if operated continuously).
Stand outside the danger zone while checking the system.
Rectify all faults before starting up the tube lifter.
Procedure:
1. Switch on compressed air.
2.
Lift the load and move the operator handle to the “Lift” position.
3. Switch off compressed air.
The tube lifter must lower slowly. The load may only be released when it is near the floor; it must not
be dropped abruptly.
