10 Decommissioning and Disposal
The tube lifter must only be decommissioned and prepared for disposal by qualified specialists (see
chapter 1.8).
10.1 Decommissioning
1. Switch off the vacuum generator.
2. Disconnect the energy supply.
3. Remove the tube lifter from the crane system using a suitable hoist.
4. Remove the suction cups so that they can be stored safely (see chapter 1).
5. Store the tube lifter to prevent it from being damaged.
10.2 Disposal
1. Shut down the tube lifter.
2. Detach and dispose of the suction plates.
3. Release the hose clamps and remove the hoses.
4. Detach and dispose of the vacuum generator in accordance with the operating instructions
supplied separately.
5. Detach and dispose of the operator handle.
