Troubleshooting
Service and maintenance work must be performed by qualified electrical and mechanical specialists
(see chapter 1.8).
DANGER
Ignition sources during maintenance/repair work
Risk of explosion
►
Ensure that no potentially explosive atmosphere is produced during
maintenance/repair work.
As a basic principle following repair or maintenance work, check the safety features
(see chapter 9.1) and equipotential bonding (see chapter 5.3).
If the load
cannot be lifted
, work through the following list to identify and rectify the fault.
Problem
Solution
Preventive measures
Required vacuum not attained
-
Insufficient compressed air
supply
-
Examine the supply hose and
tube lifter for cracks
-
Check gripping mechanism
-
Clean dust filter cartridge
and/or filter of the operator
handle and ejector and replace
if necessary
-
Check the compressed air
supply
-
Shorten filter maintenance
Carrying load capacity
exceeded
-
Reduce the load; use a
different hoist
-
Ensure that the workpiece to
be lifted does not exceed the
maximum load
The load is insufficiently airtight
or non-rigid
-
The load cannot be lifted; use a
different suction cup for non-
rigid parts
Compressed air hose is
damaged
-
Fit new hose
-
Correct the routing if
necessary (see chapter 5.1)
Supply hose is damaged
-
Fit new hose
-
Correct the routing if
necessary (see chapter 5.2.2)
