Operating instructions

Safety-monitoring module

EN

Single-channel guard door monitoring circuit with interlocking

devices to EN 1088 (see Fig. 8)

• At least one contact with positive break required

• Wire breakage and earth leakage in the control circuits are detected

•  Control category 1 – PL c to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 possible, when

tested to DIN EN ISO 13849-1, paragraph 652

Dual-channel guard door monitoring circuit with interlocking

device to EN 1088 (see Fig. 9)

• At least one contact with positive break recommended

• Wire breakage and earth leakage in the control circuits are detected

• Cross-wire shorts between the control circuits are detected

•  Due to the integration of the NC contacts in the power supply, it is

possible that not all faults in the sensor technology are detected, as

some faults are not saved because of the switch-off of the operating

voltage An accumulation of faults could cause the safety function to

be lost As a result, control category 3 can be reached at the most

• Category 3 – PL d to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 possible

Single-channel control with feedback circuit (Fig. 10)

•  Suitable for increase in capacity or number of contacts by means of

contactors or relays with positive-guided contacts

•

S

= Feedback circuit and external reset in series If the feedback

circuit is not required, establish a bridge

Dual-channel control with feedback circuit (Fig. 11)

•  Suitable for increase in capacity or number of contacts by means of

contactors or relays with positive-guided contacts

•
