5. Storage and transportation
Schüco MPE modules in the AL series are
supplied upright in a wooden crate containing
10 or 22 modules.
WARNING
Thin-film modules consist of non-toughened float glass. To prevent any
damage, a few conditions must be observed when transporting, handling
and installing the modules.
► The packing units must only be unloaded and transported using a
suitable forklift truck. The module packaging must only be raised by the
prongs at the points marked accordingly.
► After unloading, the module packaging must be placed on a level
surface to prevent the packaging from becoming damaged.
► Aluminium profiles are attached to the rear of the modules for fixing to
the mounting frames. After removing the modules from the packing units
and any possible interim storage, the profiles must not come into contact
with the glass surfaces of other modules.
► If the modules are temporarily stored in portrait orientation, they must
never be placed on their corners. The modules must be evenly
supported across their entire outside edge and placed on a suitably soft
surface.
► For reasons of traceability and identification, the label must remain on
the back of the module.
The product warranty and/or output guarantee is invalidated if the claim can be attributed to incorrect
transportation or handling. Details can be found in the product warranty and/or output guarantee. If you do
not have the product warranty and/or output guarantee to hand, Schüco will be happy to send this to you on
request.
