Exchange of gas-dependent
functional parts
The gas-dependent functional parts of the heater are
designed for the requirements given by you at the time of
delivery. If you operate the heater with other gases, you
must replace the functional parts that depend upon gas. In
case of queries, the SCHWANK customer service will be
happy to help you [Tel. 02 21/71 76 220].
Carry out the following steps for replacing the functional
parts:
Replacing the nozzle [Fig. 5]:
Use a wrench [SW 30] for holding up the connecting
piece.
Loosen the nozzle with a wrench [SW 17].
Screw in the new nozzle.
Replacing the air baffle plates:
Press against both the pointed ends of the air baffle
plate, till the cam
[a]
slides over the margin of the
connecting piece and take out the air baffle plate.
Push the new air baffle plate
[A]
on the connecting
piece, till the fin is present between the pointed ends
and the cam [a] engages behind the margin of the
connecting piece

Installation of two air baffle plates [Fig: 6]:
When installing two air baffle plates, one of these must
possess recesses for the fins of the connecting piece.
Push the air baffle plate
[C]
on the connecting piece,
till the fin is present between the pointed ends and the
cam
[c]
engages behind the margin of the connecting
piece.
Lift the air baffle plate
[C]
and push the air baffle plate
[B]
between the margin of the connecting piece and
the air baffle plate
[C]
, till the cam
[b]
engages behind
the margin of the connecting piece.
Retrofitting of the pilot burner:
When retrofitting to a different type of gas, the pilot burner
must be replaced completely with the pilot burner nozzle
and ignition gas line.
