General information
The lens in your SCHWEIZER magnifier is made from
glass or special plastic. The optical quality of both
materials is second to none. Lenses made from optical
glass are ground and optically polished on both sides.
The hard surface features a high chemical and
mechanical resistance. Only UV-absorbing crown glass,
which is also used for the production of prescription
lenses, is used in the manufacturing process.
Lightweight plastic lenses are made from optically pure
Plexiglas®. Computer-optimised aspheric surfaces
provide clear edge-to-edge images and ensure optimal
use of the entire field of view.
