The unit will not turn on.
•
Press the green-yellow power button. If the
e
Mag 43 HD does not turn on,
charge the NiMH batteries or replace the batteries.
Note: The battery does not charge when the
e
Mag 43 HD is connected to
the USB port.
• Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. –> page 12.
The screen is blank.
• If the
e
Mag 43 HD is connected to the computer via USB, the screen is
blank.
• Turn on the LED lights.
• Turn off the
e
Mag 43 HD and then turn it on again.
• Make sure the item to be magnified is positioned correctly under the
camera window.
• Press the yellow magnification button to step through the magnification
levels.
• Press the blue Colour Select button to view the various colour combi-
nations.
The LED indicator “Battery Status” is
flashing red.
• Charge the rechargeable NiMH batteries or replace the AAA disposable
alkaline batteries. (Do not mix battery chemistries.)
• When replacing rechargeable batteries, use only 1000 mAh NiMH
rechargeable batteries.
The LED indicator “Battery Status” is
solid red although the power adapter
is connected to the
e
Mag 43 HD.

A battery error has occurred. Unplug the power adapter from the
e
Mag 43 HD
and plug it in again.
