Electrical
The machine is not supplied with a power cord, one
must either be field installed or the machine
hard-wired.
The dataplate on the back of the cabinet details the
power requirements, including voltage, phase and
maximum fuse size. Extension cords are not
permitted. Use of a licensed electrician is
recommended.
The ice maker is designed to operate on its own
electrical circuit and must be individually fused.
Voltage variation must not exceed the limits listed
earlier.
The remote condenser is designed to be powered
from the ice machine. A separate knockout hole
has been provided in the ice maker electrical
junction box.
The electrical disconnect switch with fuse
protection must be a two pole type with a minimum
of 3 mm between open contacts.
Power Cord Installation:
Electrical connections are made inside the junction
box in the back panel of the ice machine.
1. Select and obtain the proper power cord of type
H03RT-F, H05RR-F, H03VV-F, H03VVH2-F or
heavier. Ground wire must be green/yellow color.
Only one cord per plug.
2. Electrical supply circuit must be dedicated to this
machine. Do not connect to a circuit powering any
other device. Product should only have one supply
means.
3. Remove the junction box cover.
4. Install a field supplied, non-detachable,
non-metallic strain relief per code.
5. Route the power cord through the access hole /
strain relief and properly attach the power supply
wires. Do not tin the leads. Strip 6 mm of power
cord lead insulation and properly attach power cord
wires to the lead wires in the junction box.
6. Connect an electrical plug of the proper type for
the application and country of use.
The plug will be the electrical disconnect means.
7. Attach a ground wire to the ground connection in
the junction box. Note: Ground wire must be longer
than power lead wires.
8. Check voltage when complete.
9. Return the junction box cover to its original
position and secure with the original screws.
Follow all applicable codes.
