RANDOM playback (for iPod only)

Press the 

SHUFFLE 

button on the remote control to play the tracks in random 

order. Press the 

SHUFFLE

 button again to cancel the function.

Watch videos or pictures from your iPod

If your iPod contains videos or pictures, you can view them on an external video 
device (e.g. a TV).
1. Open the connection jacks  cover.
2. Connect the VIDEO IN jack on the external video device to the unit’s VIDEO 

OUT jack with a video cable (not supplied) to transmit the video signal from
your iPod to the external device

.

 Next, refer to “Listening to your iPod”.  

The setting “TV OUT” on your iPod must be set to “ON”.

Note:  
• 

The iPod’s internal battery charges until it is fully charged. 

•   Adjust the volume control on the unit to the desired volume level. 
•   To prevent sound distortion during iPod playback on this unit, the EQ function 

in your iPod must be set to “Off”. 

•   The unit is not designed for playing and charging an iPod shuffle, but it is 

possible to connect the iPod’s line out or headphones jack to the 

AUX IN

 jack 

on the unit.  

AUX IN FUNCTION

This unit has an 

AUX IN

 jack which allows you to connect it to an external audio 

device such as an MP3 player or earlier iPod model.  
1.

Open the connection jacks cover and

connect a 3.5mm stereo connection 

cable (not supplied) to the 

AUX IN

 jack 

at

the 

back

 of the unit and the 

phones/line out jack on your external audio device.  

2. When the unit is switched on, 

slide the

AM/FM/CD/iPod/AUX

 switch

 to 

iPod/

AUX

” mode

.

3. Operate your external audio device as usual to select and play music. 
4. Adjust the volume controls on both your external audio device and this unit to 

the desired volume level. 

Note: 

When an iPod is docked, and the unit is in iPod mode, plugging the 

connection cable into the AUX IN jack in iPod mode will shut off the sound 
output from the iPod. The unit will automatically switch to 

AUX

 mode and 

the sound will be emitted from the external device connected to the AUX 
input.

In AUX mode, this unit display cannot show any music information (e.g. 

track number) for your external audio device. 

MAINTENANCE

Care and maintenance 

To clean the casing, unplug the unit and wipe off dust and stains with a soft cloth 
moistened with a mild soap and water solution only. Do not use benzene, thinner 
or similar chemicals to clean the casing.
