The fresh water system consists of a potable water tank,
distribution lines and a distribution pump. The pump is equipped
with an automatic pressure switch and is located behind the
hatch at the stern seat. The pump’s on/o
ff
switch is located on
the dash panel. The tank is filled through a labeled deck plate
located in on the transom.
The raw water and fresh water systems have separate pressure
pumps.
Water Fill
A “keyless” fill
deck plate on
the transom is
marked
“WATER.” The
water fill is
opened by
pressing down
on the cap and
turning it counter
clockwise 1/4 turn. The center of the cap will pop up providing a
hand grip. Continue turning the cap counter clockwise until it
can be removed. After filling, install the fill cap and tighten.
Once the cap is tight, simultaneously press down and turn the
center of the cap clockwise to lock it in the closed position.
DO NOT FILL SYSTEM WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN WATER. SHOULD THE
SYSTEM BECOME CONTAMINATED WITH FUEL OR OTHER TOXIC FLUIDS,
COMPONENT REPLACEMENT MAY BE NECESSARY.
DO NOT CONFUSE FUEL FILL DECK PLATE WITH the WATER OR WASTE FILL
DECK PLATES. THESE PLATES ARE ALSO LABELED ACCORDINGLY. IF
GASOLINE OR DIESEL FUEL IS ACCIDENTALLY PUMPED INTO THE
WATER OR WASTE TANK, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PUMP IT OUT
YOURSELF. WATER AND WASTE PUMPS ARE NOT DESIGNED TO
PUMP FUEL AND A FIRE OR EXPLOSION COULD RESULT. CONTACT
YOUR DEALER OR THE SCOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR ASSISTANCE IN
HAVING THE FUEL PROFESSIONALLY REMOVED.
