REPLACE
THE
FILTER
:
1. Shut down the engine.
2. Remove the lid .
3. Remove the old rubber lid seal and dispose of
the old seal properly.
4. Apply a coating of clean fuel or motor oil to the
rubber lid seal supplied with the new element.
5. Place the new seal in position on the lid.
6. Remove the filter element by holding the
molded handle and slowly pulling upward with
a twisting motion.
7. Insert the new filter element with a slow
downward twisting motion.
8. Fill the filter with clean fuel, then replace the
lid. Tighten the lid T-handle by hand only. Do
not overtighten.
9. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
10. Correct any leaks with the engine shut down.
It is recommended that spare filter elements be carried
aboard as contaminated fuel can easily plug a filter.
