Shucker should always be well lubricated
using only food grade lubricant as needed.

Spike tip can be sharpened. Sea Dog
®
Shucker
recommends replacing tip if it is broken, chipped, or if
it has been resharpened more than three times.

Cleaning
•
The Sea Dog
®
Shucker must be cleaned after each use.
Thoroughly wash with hot water and dish detergent.
Any salt and shell residue left from the Sea Dog
®
Shucker also should be removed. When finished, dry
with towel and store.
•
Industrial or commercial applications must follow
OSHA requirements for cleaning.

Product Instructions
How to Use
1. Place Sea Dog
®
Shucker on a level footing.
2. Raise the handle while holding oyster hinge side up and align spike to oyster hinge.
3. Check to make sure spike is lined up with hinge and begin to press downward on the handle.
4. After breaking hinge, twist oyster 1/4 turn while spike is still in oyster.
5. Lift handle to remove spike from oyster.
6. Remove top half of shell and enjoy!
