Not unlike other network connected devices, if your SeaConnect 370 was configured to operate in
Infrastructure Mode, with a DHCP assigned IP address, it can be difficult to locate on your network. You
will need to know either the MAC address of the device or the device’s ID, e.g., SL370-210027. The simplest
way to get the IP address is to use the ping network utility and ping the device name:
ping SL370-210027
Ping will respond with the IP address of the device.
If you do not know the device name or your network does not support mDNS or NetBIOS, you will need to
locate it with the MAC address using a utility like MaxSSD, MOD+ Connect, or a network discovery tool such
as Fing (
), which is currently available for Linux, Windows, OSX, Android, and iOS. Some
routers keep a list of connected devices from which you may be able to identify your SeaConnect device.
