IMPORTANT: Only fully qualified personnel should attempt maintenance or repair.
5.1. When not in use, the jack should be stored with the ram in the lowest position, to minimise corrosion. Remove the handle to inactivate the jack.
5.2. Keep the jack clean and lubricate all moving parts on a regular basis.
5.3. To check the oil level the pump complete must be removed from the jack, as follows:
5.3.1. Raise the jack half way.
5.3.2. Keep the handle vertical and lock the pump piston (30) in the innermost position with a screw, or similar, through the hole in the release
bracket (38). Mind the inner spring.
5.3.3. Remove the handle and the tipping gear as well as the two screws (7) on top of the lifting frame.
5.3.4. Remove screw (16) and disconnect the piston rod from the base frame (20) by raising the lifting frame (21).
5.3.5. Lift the complete pump from the frame.
5.3.6. With the pump vertical and the piston rod held in, the correct oil level is at the lower edge of the filler hole (27).
Oil capacity: 0.3l.
Use a good quality jack oil, such as SEALEY HYDRAULIC JACK OIL and DO NOT overfill as this will affect the smooth operation of the jack.

WARNING: DO NOT use brake fluid, or any fluid other than hydraulic jack fluid, as this may cause serious damage to the
jack and will invalidate the warranty!
5.4. Before each use check for broken, cracked, bent, or loose parts, or any visible damage to ram, pump, saddle, lifting arm, frame and all parts
including nuts, bolts, pins and other fasteners. If any suspect item is found, remove jack from service and take action to remedy the
problem. DO NOT use the jack if it is believed to have been subjected to abnormal load or shock load. Inspect and take appropriate action.
5.5. Periodically check the pump piston and the ram for signs of corrosion. Clean exposed areas with a clean oiled cloth.
IMPORTANT: NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ACCEPTED FOR INCORRECT USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
