Conductivity
readings erratic or
drifting
Poor connection due to moisture between
contacts in connector
Dry thoroughly. Be sure desiccant is fresh (see
Maintenance section).
Dirty conductivity element
Clean element
Out of calibration or improperly calibrated
Recalibrate (see Settings and Calibration
section)
Temperature compensation turned off
In Settings and Calibration section:
• If using Non-Linear temperature
compensation, be sure Non-Linear box is
checked
• If using normal temperature
compensation, be sure that the Temp.
Coef. is not set to zero. (2.1 works for
a wide variety of fluids). If set to zero,
the conductivity readings will vary with
temperature.
Loose or broken wires in connector
Repair or return for evaluation and repair
Damaged cable, cracked or fraying
Replace cable
Moisture in the unit
Return for evaluation and repair
Damaged transmitter
Return for evaluation and repair
