Firmware update
We recommend that you keep the firmware the device current at all times. SebaKMT
makes improved versions of the firmware available in the download area of
www.sebakmt.com
on a regular basis.
The firmware version currently used by the device can be found in the status information
of the device (see page 79).
All data stored in the device’s internal memory may be deleted by the firmware update.
Therefore, retrieve all data from the device before carrying out an update.
To conduct a firmware update, the following requirements must be met:
•
computer with SebaDataView-3 software Internet access
•
a radio interface must be connected to the computer (e.g. Log RI)
•
the relevant device must be registered in the SDV-3 software
•
the logger must be switched on
•
the device must be within the computer’s wireless range
To update the firmware of one or more devices, proceed as follows:

Download the file for the update from the download area of
www.sebakmt.com
onto your computer.

Open the SebaDataView-3 software.

Click the water drop symbol
on the top left of the window and select the
option
Firmware Update
in the window that opens.
Result:
The following window opens.

In the drop-down list in the top left, select the type of device
LogD3
.

At the top of the list on the left, click the folder symbol
.
A new input field opens. There, enter the identification number (ID) of the device
you want to update and confirm with the ENTER key on your keyboard. The ID
now appears in the list on the left.
Several devices can be updated at the same time, provided they are of the same
type. If you want to do that, enter the IDs of the relevant devices now.
If you want to remove a device from the list, select the relevant ID and click the
‘Delete’ symbol
at the top of the list.
