INSTALLATION

MOUNTING:

1.  The Securview™ SV-6940.LM Rear Vision System uses a wide-angle lens for best all around

performance.    The  Camera  will display  the  full  width  of  most  parking  spaces up  to  7  feet  or
even wider.

2.  The SV-6940.LM is a Universal Lip Mount style camera which has a small design that allows

it  to  be  mounted  in  several  different  locations  around  the  vehicle  such  as  the  License  Plate
Bezel,  Trunk  Lid,  Front  /  Rear  Bumper,  Etc.  Choose  where  you  want  the  camera  to  be
located.  Make  sure  that  there  is  nothing  behind  the  mounting  surface  that  can  be  damaged
when the camera is mounted into place

3.  Carefully  choose  a  location  to  route  the  video  / power  cable  into  the  vehicle.  If  you  have  to

drill a hole to route the cable, make sure there is nothing behind the drilling surface that can
be damaged.

4.  Secure the camera  into place using screws  or double-sided tape.  (If using  double-side tape,

make sure the surface is very clean before applying the tape)

5.  Once the camera is mounting, secure the video / power cable with zip ties or tape to ensure

that it does not move around freely.

REVERSE (MIRROR) IMAGING:

The  SV-6940.LM.II  Camera  has  built-in  circuitry  to  “mirror”  the  image  so  objects  on  the  right  of
vehicle  appear  on  the  right  and  objects  on  the  left  appear  on  the  left  when  looking  at  a  standard
monitor.    If  your  existing  monitor  or  in-dash  monitor  has  a reverse  camera  input  where  the monitor
itself  performs  the  mirror  image,  then  your  picture  will  not  be  correct.  If  this  happens,  the  SV-
6940.LM.II camera has a white wire that can be connected to reverse the image back to normal. (See
Wiring Diagram)
