OPERATION
OPERATION
72
This section provides basic operating instructions, including how
to start and stop the vehicle, driving skills and precautions when
driving on different roadways.
Even if you've ridden other ATVs, you must take time to familiarize
yourself with how the vehicle operates. Practice in flat and wide
areas until you are familiar with this all-terrain vehicle.
!
WARNING
Failure to inspect and verify that the vehicle is in safe operating
condition before operating increases the risk of an accident.
Always perform the Pre-riding Inspection outlined in the Operation
chapter before use of your vehicle to make sure it's in safe operating
conditions. Always follow the inspection and maintenance procedures
and schedules described in this owner's manual. See the Periodic
Maintenance section in the Maintenance chapter.
PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
Perform a pre-ride inspection before each ride to detect any
potential problem that could occur during operation. The pre-
ride inspection can help you monitor component wear and
deterioration before they become a problem.
Correct any problem that you discover to reduce the risk of a
breakdown or crash.
