5. Equipment Description
The stirrer provides the preparation of solutions through a combination of
temperature and stirring speed.
A temperature pro
fi
le is a succession of several steps of heating and stirring
speed.
6. Installation
Unpack the equipment and visually check that the contents are in good con-
ditions. Keep the package for some days.
6.1 Location
Place the equipment on a
fl
at level stable surface, suitable for the equipment
weight.
To work in a comfortable way, please leave a free space of 20cm around the
equipment.
6.2 Connection to the mains
Plug the equipment to a near socket suitable for the equipment power. Use
the connection cable supplied or a similar one. For your safety, the equipment
must be earthed. Before plugging the machine, check that the voltage supply
and the frequency corresponds to the one indicated in the equipment charac-
teristics plate.
7. Operation
All the equipment functions are set using the touch screen. Gently press with
your
fi
nger in the center of each icon.
The computer has two operation modes:
a. Simple stirring
b. Several steps stirring program
When starting the equipment, starting screen in Fig 7.1 will be shown.

7.1.1 Calibrating the temperature and the alarms
With a certain periodicity (annually, for instance), it is recommended to check
the temperature calibration, for example, by using a thermometer or a tem-
perature pattern.
If as a result of calibration a reading correction is needed, a correction must
be entered.
In case of doubt about the calibration done, factory calibration can be recovered.
