Posizionatore angolare APX 700 - Manuale d'uso - 36
To connect APX 700/
N
to Selet-Sensor's PL LAN it's sufficient to get a 4-wired cable (lenght max.
20 m.), and connect together the signals
+SCK
,
-SCK
,
+DATA
and
-DATA
of APX 700/
N
and any
other module of the network (refer to network technical documentation). Furthermore, it's necessary to
set the module address, that is the identification code that the master PL has to use to query APX
700/
N
: it's sufficient to set the mini-DIP placed on the top side of the box of the instrument:

In the figure above, the address set is
00110 = 6
.
If the network connection is disabled (8
th
selector = 0), APX 700/
N
will not be able to respond to
master queries, even if correctly connected.
Switch 7 permits to select the type of standard point-to-point connection between P.C. and APX700
(through the DB-9 connector):
State
Connection
Max. distance
1 (ON)
P.C.
↔
RS-485
2 Km. at 38.8 Kbit/s
0 (OFF)
P.C.
↔
RS-232c
10 m.
To realize RS-485 connection is necessary to insert into the Personal Computer a RS-232c/485
bidirectional converter.
Below we report the DB-9 connector pin-out, dedicated to the point-to-point connection between
P.C. and APX700:
