4.2 SAVING THE CONFIGURATION
The configuration of Alyseo can be saved in the flash memory or on PC (serial line), so that,
restarting the machine, the same configuration present before the restart can be loaded.
It is recommended to do this after having configured Alyseo in a stable way because, in case of
power supply missing due to accidental events, it allows the complete restore of the machine
within the user network.
The possible commands (with the brief description on video) are:
Alyseo106# save (‘?’)
rom
save to internal rom memory
serial save configuration to PC from serial
**** IMPORTANT *************************************************************************************
The “user” and “superuser” access passwords are saved, in encrypted way, together with the
configuration of Alyseo 106 because they are an integral part of it. This involves that, downloading
the configuration file to a new terminal, this will be accessible by means of the password stored in
the configuration file itself.
In case of impossibility to access to shell due to the missing of password, it is necessary to
execute a procedure for the recovery of the default executable configurable only by manufacturer.
