Among the above mentioned parameters, pay attention to the “traffic" parameter:
traffic
This parameter allows associating the particular traffic descriptor to pvc in such a way to
characterize it through the parameters contained in the traffic descriptor.

PVC 8 35 Traffic descriptor 2
The traffic descriptor 2 has been associated to pvc 8 35. The parameters of the descriptor of the
connection depend on the service class and can be configured by means of the class and pcr
commands, for example:

Exiting from the menu related to traffic descriptor, by means of the “show atm" command, it is
possible to display the configured pvc and the related associated traffic descriptors.
CAC
It is possible to enable the control of the connections on ATM enabling the CAC item. The
calculation is made according to the configured Band_dsl band value, independently from the real
bit rate of the SHDSL line, which is not known before and depends on what configured on CO side
(DSLAM).
Management
In order to verify the integrity of the link among different CPEs, it is possible to use two modalities:
the ‘classic’ way that realizes the Link Integrity Verification, as foreseen by Frame Relay Forum
(default modality) or the Cisco proprietary modality. This last one is suggested if the DSLAM, or at
least one node in the network (e.g.: ATM switch), does not support the management of OAM cells.
