9.2.2 Electrical risks
The equipment is carried out so as to comply with the 73/23/CEE standard and, anyway, conforms
to the EN 60950 standard which controls the electronic product safety. In case of circuit parts
subject to dangerous voltages, these are properly labelled in accordance with EN 60950.
Inexperienced staff should not operate on these
circuits.
N.B. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO CARRY OUT, FOLLOWING THE RULES IN FORCE ON THIS MATTER,
AN
ADEQUATE GROUNDED SYSTEM TO WHICH EVERY METAL PART NOT ENERGISED MUST BE
CONNECTED.
9.2.3 Fire risk
The parts forming the equipment have not a specific ignition point. The basic products used for
their realization are self-estinguishing. In normal conditions of handling, storing, transport and use,
there is no danger of self-ignition.
However, in case of fire:
•
because of tin-lead alloy (37-63) presence on the electric cards, lead fumes and vapours can
be generated, as product residual, when this element reaches high temperatures (above 500
°C); these vapours are toxic if inhaled;
•
some products used to build the equipment can generate fumes and vapours dangerous for
health.
In case of fire, the extinguishing extinction must be realized by qualified personnel with the
possible use of respirators; aprovide a good ventilation of the rooms after the fire extinction.
To extinguish fire do not use water.
9.2.4 Mechanical risks
For the wall installation (only if the equipment is housed in box suitable to wall mounting) and the
commissioning of the equipment, it is recommended to follow the prescriptions indicated in the
“Installation manual”.
9.2.5 Chemical risks
In handling the electronic cards constituitng the equipment, the personnel can touch the tin-lead
alloy used for the mechanical-electrical connection of the components to the circuit lay-out and
present on the boards as residual of the productive process.
This product containing lead is toxic if swallowed. So wash with care your hands or parts of the
body or clothes which have come into contact, willing or not, with the equipment electronic cards.
9.3 TRANSPORT
The equipment does not present any problems for the health and the environment during all the
phases of normal transport, storing, handling and use; therefore, there are no specific limitations
for the transport phase.
