12.1.3. A practical example to configure VLAN encapsulation
To implement IEEE 802.1q tagging standard protocol, only configure the “
Extended QoS Setting
” web
page.
In the following image you can see the IEEE 802.1q protocol enabled with VLAN-ID = 50 and priority =
5, while ToS is equal to 0.
This configuration performs the generation of tagged packets from the phone (IEEE 802.1q enabled)
with VLAN Priotity = 5 and VLAN-ID = 50 and only RTP packets have ToS = 0.
In case you connect a PC, without QoS service, to PC port of NETfon’s embedded switch, but the
outgoing packets from PC port are required to have 802.1q tag (e.g. VLAN-ID = 150 and priority = 2),
program the phone switch as described below.
To program the PC Port with VLAN-ID / Priority required, you have to configure the “
Built-in Switching
Setting
” web page.
