IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ CAREFULLY AND STORE FOR FUTURE USE.
•
This appliance is designed for domestic use and similar locations such as:
–
staff kitchens in stores, offi ces and other workplaces;
–
hotel or motel rooms and other living areas;
–
bed and breakfast establishments.
•
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
•
Only place the appliance on an even, dry and stable surface.
•
Do not place the appliance on or near an electric or gas stove or other sources of heat.
•
Before connecting this appliance to the socket outlet, make sure the voltage stated on the label
of the appliance corresponds to the voltage in your power socket. Connect the appliance only to
a properly grounded socket.
•
Do not use the appliance in the direct vicinity of a bathtub, wash basin, shower, pool or other
similar sources of water.
•
Only use the milk kettle with the base that was supplied with it.
•
The appliance is designed for frothing and heating milk. Do not use it for other purposes.
•
Before pouring milk into the kettle, make sure that the milk frothing or stirring attachment is
properly installed inside.
•
Do not start the appliance without the lid in place.
•
Do not touch the rotating frothing or stirring attachment.
Warning:
If the kettle is overfi lled, milk may splash out during operation.
•
Do not open the lid while the appliance is in operation. Pay extra attention when handling a kettle
fi lled with hot milk.
•
Do not turn on the appliance when it is empty. The incorrect use of the appliance may negatively
affect its lifetime.
•
Always disconnect the appliance from the power socket if you will not be using it, before moving
it, cleaning it or changing the accessories (attachments).
•
Allow the appliance to cool down before replacing accessories and cleaning it.
•
Do not wash the milk kettle (except for the removable lid) and the base under running water and
do not submerge it in water or in any other liquid.
•
Make sure the power cord is not touching a hot surface. Do not place heavy items on the power
cord.
•
Do not disconnect the appliance from the power socket by pulling on the power cord. This could
damage the power cord or the socket. Disconnect the cord from the power socket by gently pulling
the plug of the power cord.
•
If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced at a professional service centre. It is forbidden to use
the appliance if it has a damaged power cord or plug.
•
To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the appliance yourself or make any
adjustments to it. Have all repairs or adjustments of the appliance performed at an authorised
service centre. Tampering with the appliance during the warranty period may void the warranty
policy.
