SELF DIAGNOSTICS
Comprehensive
self diagnostic capabilities are incorporated in this transmitter. During maintenance and inspection,
the following tests and checks can aid in troubleshooting fault conditions and identifying issues that could impair
meter performance.
Probe Check
A diagnostic test can be conducted to determine whether the transmitter is free from any problem in the probe circuitry.
If an error is detected upon diagnosis, there is a possibility that it presents a risk to maintaining accurate measurement. You
will prompted to follow the instructions given when “NG” appears.
Navigate to the
Self-Diag
screen as described in the Transition Charts in
this manual, then touch “SEL1” to select “Hardware”. The
Hardware
Check
start screen will appear.
To run a probe check, touch “SEL3” to set up a zero flow.
To exit without running a probe check, touch “ENT,” then “SEL3.” You will
be returned to the
Self-Diag
screen.
The
Hardware Check
screen will appear. The check lasts approximately
30 seconds, during which the green LED will blink on and off.
• If possible errors with the probe were detected, “NG” will appear to the
right of the items with potential issues. If “NG” appears next to an item,
refer to the descriptions and recommended actions below:
DSP Voltage.
Potential fault in internal power supply. Contact the
factory.
Input Freq.
Potential fault in frequency counter. Run a Drive Coil
Check (as described in this manual). If no drive coil errors are
identified, contact Cameron.
Input Phase D.
Potential fault in phase difference measuring circuit.
Run a Transmitter Check (as described in this manual). If no errors in
the circuit are identified, contact Cameron.
Input Amp.
Potential fault in the receiver circuit. Run a Transmitter
Check (as described in this manual). If no receiver circuit errors are
identified, contact Cameron.
Input Temp.
Potential fault in the temperature sensor. Run a
Transmitter Check (as described in this manual). If no temperature
sensor errors are identified, contact Cameron.
• If no issues with the probe were detected, “OK” will appear to the right
of each item, as shown in figure to the left.
Touch “SEL1.”
Touch “SEL3.”
Touch “ENT.”
Touch “ENT.”
Touch “SEL3.”
To end the hardware check, touch “SEL3” to be returned to the
Self-Diag
screen.
