Remove the manual push rod (part number TOL012) from the actuator and check the threads to ensure they are
not stripped. Insert the push rod into actuator fitting, and thread the push rod onto the actuator rod to verify a
complete engagement of the threads.
Care must be taken while connecting the manual push rod to the actuator so that a force higher than 7 lbs is
not applied during the connection. A force higher than 7 lbs can cause the source to move into a non-fully
shielded position.
Do not use the pneumatic actuator if the threads of the actuator rod and push rod are stripped and do not
engage.

to Expose Male Connector
Visually inspect the male connector for cracks and wear on the main connector body, shank and ball. Verify the ball,
shank and/or connector body are not bent at an angle relative to the centerline of the actuator rod. Inspect the
actuator rod that protrudes from the male connector to ensure there are no breaks, permanent bends or signs of
corrosion
