Operation
Make sure the lamp is surrounded by water and fully im-
mersed before switching the UV-C lamp on. The lamp
must not be operated dry as to prevent overheating. The
UV-C lamp must be operated only with the transformer
and the AC ballast supplied with it.
The black plug of the transformer is connected to the
black socket of the ballast (2.4). The UV-C lamp is con-
nected to the blue socket of the ballast (2.3) via the blue
plug. The transformer (2.6) should only be connected to
the mains supply when all plug connections are connect-
ed and the UV-C unit is immersed in the water. The con-
nections must not be swapped.
The casing of the lamp (2.5) must not be opened or dam-
aged.
Cleaning
The UV-C lamp (2.5) must not be opened. No pointed or
hard items must be introduced into the interior of the
casing. The lamp with casing should be replaced in case
the unit is clogged and cannot be cleaned by rinsing with
water.
Maintenance
Please replace the UV-C lamp after about a year. First
disconnect all current carrying parts from the mains sup-
ply. Take the UV-C System out of the aquarium in its
casing (1.5). Then take the lid (1.5.1) off. Pull the UV-C
lamp of the water outlet opening and take it out of the
casing together with the pump. Pull the hose (1.7/2.7) off
the lamp. Replace hose if applicable. Push new UV-C
lamp onto new 16 mm hose and fasten with cable tie.
Fasten the pump in the same manner. Re-install lamp and
pump in the casing and attach the outlet of the UV-C lamp
back onto the back side of the water outlet opening (1.8).

unit works. In case
of a burning lamp, a bluish shine can be seen to the out-
let opening. Avoid looking into the UV-C light directly.
