Before using the appliance, the user should
read the following instructions carefully.
Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds
with the voltage marked on the rating label of
the appliance. This product complies with all
binding CE labelling directives.

Important safety instructions

Caution:
do not use the
appliance in the vicinity of a
bath, shower or swimming-
pool, over a washbasin filled
with water or near any other receptacle
containing water. Protect the appliance
from moisture and splashing water and do
not operate it with wet hands.
■
In the vicinity of any water source, there is
a risk even when the appliance is switched
off. Therefore, always remove the plug from
the wall socket after use, especially if the
appliance is being used in a bathroom.
For additional protection, the installation of
a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the
electrical circuit supplying the bathroom.
Ask your installer for advice.

Electric heating appliances operate at very
high temperatures. Do not touch any part of
the appliance except the grip and finger-
guard. Otherwise there is a real risk of
burns.
■
The appliance becomes hot during use. To
prevent burns, ensure that the curler is kept
well away from the scalp.
■
Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair-
pieces or wigs, as the heat emitted might
cause damage to the synthetic fibres.
■
Before the appliance is used, the main
body as well as any attachments fitted
should be checked thoroughly for any
defects. If the appliance, for instance, has
been dropped onto a hard surface, it must
no longer be used: even invisible damage
may have adverse effects on its operational
safety.
■
The power cord should be regularly
examined for any signs of damage. In the
event of such damage being found, the
appliance must no longer be used.
■
Do not leave the appliance unattended
while switched on.

Always remove the plug from the wall

When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.

Do not coil the power cord around the
appliance.

capabilities, or lacking experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
