10. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
10.1 DISTRIBUTION OF THE LOAD
Evenly distribute the load.
CAUTION!
A bad distribution of the load can destabilize the boat and may result in a loss of control.
The boat reacts more roughly when lightly loaded.
Be particularly careful when you accelerate or change direction.
10.2 CHECK LIST BEFORE DEPARTING
SAFETY FIRST: LEARN HOW TO AVOID ACCIDENTS
CAUTION!
GET INFORMED on local regulations and hazards related to water activities and boat operation.
Observe all local and national laws.
CHECK weather forecast, local currents, tides and wind conditions.
ADVISE someone on land of the time you plan to be back.
EXPLAIN basic boat operation to all passengers and be sure that one of them can operate the boat in case
of emergency.
CHECK the good working of the boat and the equipment. Examine them carefully before use.
Please observe carefully the information on the capacity plate which is printed on the product.
CHECK inflation pressure.
INSPECT the valves caps. Remove the self bailer plug (if the boat is equipped with it).
CHECK THAT REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT IS ON BOARD (Check the laws and regulations of the
country or locality in which you are boating):
•
One personal flotation device (Pfd) per person.
•
The pump, the paddles (or the oars), the repair kit and tool kit.
•
The mandatory equipment.
DO NOT EXCEED THE AUTHORIZED NUMBER OF PERSONS OR WEIGHT.
10.3 RULES TO OBSERVE DURING NAVIGATION

Be responsible: do not neglect the safety rules, this could jeopardize your life and the lives of others.

Learn to always keep control of your boat.

Always operate with courtesy and respect.

Respect local regulations and practices.

Near the shore, navigate in the designated boating areas.
CAUTION!
Use the boat only in protected shore-zones, avoid open water and streams with strong currents.
BEWARE OF OFFSHORE WINDS AND CURRENTS!
Always wear a Personal Flotation Device approved by proper authorities.
NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. Do not drink alcohol or take drugs before operating yours boat. Maintain
passenger sobriety.
KEEP CLEAR OF SWIMMERS AND DIVERS.
Avoid all contact between the buoyancy tubes and sharp objects or aggressive liquids (such as acid)
