Using the DBG60 Keypad
2
The keypad can be helpful if the MOVIDRIVE
®
B has halted because of a fault. As you already
know, the
unit’s single-digit display isn’t very detailed. Being able to read the full fault code is
much better. Once you know what
’s wrong, you can correct the problem and clear the fault.
To demonstrate this feature, you need to force the MOVIDRIVE
®
B into a fault condition. If
you’ve just completed the
Table Positioning
exercise, this will be very easy.
Step 1
Set all switches on the control box to the OFF (down) position.
Step 2
Set switches
DI 00
and
DI 01
to the ON (up) position.
The MOVIDRIVE
®
B should fault immediately and display a code of
F27
.
Step 3
Connect the keypad to the MOVIDRIVE
®
B and wait for it to initialize. If the screen displays
a globe symbol, the keypad
language hasn’t been set. Press the
SELECT LANGUAGE
button.
Then, use the
MOVE UP
/
MOVE DOWN
buttons to locate
Englisch
. Press the
CONFIRM
button.
Step 4
The current fault code and description will appear on the keypad display.
Question
1. What caused the MOVIDRIVE
®
B to fault?
Once you’ve identified the fault’s cause, you can correct it and clear the fault.
Step 5
Set switches
DI 00
and
DI 01
to the OFF (down) position.
Before clearing a fault condition, always confirm that the drive
won’t do anything dangerous
when it comes back on. Setting Controller Inhibit (DI 00) to 0 V is always a wise idea.
Step 6
Press the
EXIT
button.
Step 7
Using the
MOVE UP
/
MOVE DOWN
buttons, change
MANUAL RESET
to
YES
.
Step 8
Press the
CONFIRM
button.
The MOVIDRIVE
®
B will reset and clear the original fault code. If you’ve corrected the problem,
the drive will be ready to run.
