This appears if you attempt to search for an
automatic dialling number when none have
been stored.
NO # STORED
You have tried to dial or clear a Rapid Key or
Speed Dial number that hasn’t been
programmed (a full number hasn’t been
assigned to it).
ON HOOK DIAL
The
SPEAKER
key has been pressed and the
fax is waiting for you to dial. (To return to the
date and time display, press the
SPEAKER
key again.)
OUT OF INK!
The print cartridge is out of ink. Install a new
print cartridge as described in
Changing Print
Cartridges
in Chapter 1. (If desired, run a print
test to check the cartridge before replacing it.
See
Cleaning the print nozzles
in Chapter 1.)
Note: This message will also appear if you
mistakenly set the cartridge type to "black" after
installing a colour cartridge. To correct the
setting, press the
CARTRIDGE
key and then
2
(OLD COLOUR) or
4
(NEW COLOR).
OUT OF PAPER
You are out of printing paper (or the paper
release plate is open). Load paper as described
in
Loading Printing Paper
in Chapter 12.
PAPER JAMMED
The printing paper is jammed. See the following
section,
Clearing Paper Jams
. After clearing
the jam, press the
PRINTER
key to reset the
machine and clear the display message.
READY TO SEND
A document has been loaded and the fax is
waiting for transmission or copying instructions.
REDIAL MODE #01
This appears if you attempt to send a fax by
automatic dialling and the line is busy or the
receiving fax machine does not answer. Your
fax machine will automatically reattempt the
call. (See
Automatic Redialling
in
Sending a
Fax by Automatic Dialling
in Chapter 2.)
