Fax/Image E-mail application
Introduction
Your Colour Multifunction Interface application is designed to streamline
the process of sending image files via fax or e-mail message. With a single
mouse click, you can scan your paper document and send it to a fax or
e-mail recipient. Faxes may be sent to a traditional fax machine or to a
personal computer with fax receive capabilities.
Note: If you are using Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Outlook Express,
or Eudora Pro 4.0 as your e-mail software, see the Windows Messag-
ing chapter to enable these applications for use with the Colour
Multifunction Interface.
Important!
To ensure that your name and fax number (which you have
stored in the Sharp Colour MFP) appear on your PC faxes as
required by law, select Remote Setup in the Multifunction
Interface. In the Remote Setup application, click the To PC
button. This will send your name and number to your
computer for inclusion on your PC faxes.
Your Fax/Image E-mail application functions in cooperation with the
Colour Multifunction Interface Address Book. In the Address Book, you
designate a Default Send Address for each record. This address is used
when sending faxes or e-mail messages from the Fax/Image E-mail
application. The Default Send Address may be the home or business fax
number or the home or business e-mail account established for each
Address Book record. These default settings can greatly automate the
sending process. Of course, you may over-ride these default settings at
any time. Detailed information on these default settings is available in
the Address Book chapter of this manual.
