Fax/Image E-mail application
from your address book list. The recipient’s name appears in the To:
field.
In the To: field, click on the name, and then click the right mouse
button to access the popup menu that displays the various address
choices. The Default Send Address is checked.
To change the address for a single operation, select the fax or e-mail
address you want to use from the popup menu. That address will
be used for this single operation only. (Note: You can permanently
change the Default Send Address from within the Colour Multifunc-
tion Interface Address Book, or by selecting Properties… from the
pop up menu and changing the Default Send Location.)
Default E-mail file type
You can scan documents and send the resulting image file to e-mail
recipients. In your Colour Multifunction Interface Address Book , you
designate a default image file type for each e-mail address. Any
document you scan is automatically packaged in the default file type
associated with that address. Refer to the Address Book chapter of this
manual for more detail regarding default image file types.
From the Fax/Image E-mail application, you can easily over-ride and
change the default image file type for individual messages.
Using the To: button, address the message. The recipient’s name
appears in the To: field of the Fax/Image E-mail screen.
In the To: field, click on the name, and then click the right mouse
button.
A pop up menu appears with the Default Send Address destination
checked. Choose an e-mail destination if one is not already
checked. A cascading menu appears listing available image file
types. Select the file type you wish to use for the e-mail recipient.
Remember: As describe earlier, your e-mail recipient should
have an application capable of opening the selected file type.
If you are uncertain, select HTML as that file type can be
opened by most web browers.
