Scale to Fit
Most printers do not print from edge to edge of the paper. Image
files are printed differently than most other files. The printer
considers the entire image, even if it is all blank, as printable
information. When positioning the image on the printed page,
Viewer positions the upper left hand corner of the image at the
upper left hand corner of the printable area of the printer or fax.
As a result, some information may be cropped from the printed
or faxed page if your image size is equal to, or greater than the
printable area of the printer or fax machine.
To ensure that the entire image will print or fax, Viewer can
automatically size or rotate the page so that it fits within the
printer’s printable area. The image will be reduced the minimum
amount required to ensure that the entire image is printed or
faxed.
(Note: If you elect to have Viewer automatically Scale to Fit,
all images that are equal to or greater than the printable
area will be scaled, even if the information on the image is
less than the printer’s printable area.)
