Viewing documents
You can insert into your Viewer document information created in
other applications, such as a word processing chart or spreadsheet
data. You can then edit or format the information (also called an
object) while you are in the Viewer.
To edit an embedded object created in another application, you must
have that application installed on your computer. From the Edit
menu, choose Insert New Object.
To embed a new object do the following:
Select the Create New radio button.
From the Object Type list box, select the type that describes
the application to use to create the new object. The contents
of the Object Type list depend on which applications installed
on your computer support linking and embedding.
To embed an existing object:
Select the Create From File radio button.
In the File box, type the name of the object you want to
embed. If you do not know the name, use the Browse...
button to locate the file.
If you want the embedded information to be displayed as the
application's icon, check the Display As Icon box. Select the
CHANGE ICON button to use a different icon to display the
object or to change the icon's label.
Select the OK pushbutton.
The embedded object will be pasted in the upper left hand corner of
the window. If desired, you can change the position and size of the
embedded object.
