Select the information you want to embed.
From the Edit menu of the application where the selection was
created, choose Copy.
Switch to the Viewer application, and then from the Edit menu
choose Paste Special.
Select the Paste radio button.
In the As list box, select the way that you want to embed the
object. The Result box will display more information about the
embedded object.
If you want the embedded information to be displayed as the
application's icon, check the Display As Icon box. Select the
CHANGE ICON button to use a different icon to display the
object or to change the icon's label.
Select the OK pushbutton.
The object will be pasted in the upper left-hand corner of the win-
dow. If desired, you can change the position and size of the embed-
ded object.
Editing an embedded or linked object
You can modify an embedded object or linked object directly in
Viewer. You can edit the object by either double clicking on the
object or by selecting Object from the Edit menu. When you use the
Edit menu, you may be provided with several choices, depending
upon the type of object you have embedded. Some common choices
are Open, Edit and Convert. Open will enable you to edit the object
in its own application window. Edit will temporarily replace some of
the Viewer menus and toolbar by those used in the source applica-
tion. Convert is available only for embedded objects. It will convert
the embedded file format to a different file format.
To edit an embedded or linked object, do one of the following:
