When you select "LARGE", all channel signals are sent to the speaker.
When you select "SMALL", frequencies below 120 Hz are sent to the subwoofer.
(*) indicates the default setting.
Notes:
!
On some DVD-Audio or SACD discs, the subwoofer may not produce sound even
if the speaker size is set to "SMALL".
!
You do not need to adjust the speaker size of the supplied speakers.
!
The speaker size setting is not available when the input is set to tuner, or the sur-
round is "STEREO" or "VIRTUAL".
!
When the centre and surround speakers are not connected, set the speaker size
to "C-NO" and "S-NO". Otherwise, the protection circuit may be activated and the
power is turned off.

Speaker delay setting
When some of the speakers are at a different distance from the listening point, you
can select the speaker delay to make it seem as though the speaker distances are
the same.
Notes:
!
The speaker delay setting is only available for the front speakers and subwoofer if
the input is set to tuner, or the surround is "STEREO" or "VIRTUAL".
!
The speaker delay setting is invalid whilst playing DVD-Audio or SACD discs (valid
for the CD layer of SACD discs).

Within 10 seconds, press the or button to
select their sizes.
To set sizes of other speakers, repeat the operation
from step 3.

Press the RETURN
button twice.
The setting is complete.

Set the MODE 1/MODE 2 switch to MODE 2 and press the AMP SET
UP button.

Within 10 seconds, press the or button to
select "SP DELAY", and press the ENTER
button.

Within 30 seconds, press the or button to
select the desired speaker.
The indicator of the selected speaker flashes.

Within 30 seconds, press the or button to
select the distance.
!
You can change the distance in 0.1 m steps.
!
To set the distance of other speakers, repeat the op-
eration from step 3.

Press the RETURN
button twice.
The setting is complete.
