Basic operation
You can skip the current chapter or track and play the next one, or search a desired
chapter or track while checking the playback.

To locate the beginning of a chapter (track)

Note:
The skip feature is disabled on some discs. Some discs do not display the chapter
(track).
Fast forward/Fast reverse (search)
Notes:
z
On some discs, the search function is disabled.
z
On a DVD, search does not operate between titles.
z
While searching on a DVD or video CD the sound is not heard and the subtitles will
not appear. With an audio CD you will not hear the sound.
z
On a video or audio CD, the search speed changes from 1 (about 2) to 2 (about
8). You cannot choose 3 (about 32).
z
When search is performed during the DVD playback, pictures may not be for-
warded or reversed in the search speed specified in this manual, depending on the
disc or the scene being played.
z
The same operation can be performed by holding down the
or
button on
the main unit for 2 seconds or more.
While a disc is playing, press the

button.
z
The
button skips to the next chapter.
z
The
button skips to the beginning of the current chapter. Press the

ton again to skip to the beginning of the previous chapter.

The scanning speed will change as follows at each press of the button.

The disc is forwarded by the
