No sound, or sound is distorted.
•
If the volume of the TV or amplifier is set to minimum, turn the volume up.
•
There is no sound during still mode, slow motion playback, fast forward and fast
reverse (page

Check that the audio cable is connected correctly (page

•
Check that the cable plugs are clean.
•
Take out the disc and clean it (page

Audio may not be output depending on the audio recording status, such as when
audio other than an audio signal or non-standard audio is recorded for the audio
).
Audio is not output, or images are
not played back properly.
•
The audio may not be output or the images may not be played back properly for
some discs in which copyright-protected contents are recorded.
Audio folder and file names are not
displayed; audio data cannot be
played back, when controlled with
Mobile App.
Names of files you want to play
back by remote control are not
displayed in Mobile App or on the
front panel display on the player.
•
If folder/file names contain symbols such as “*:/<>?\¥|`&,$.- and/or non-
alphanumeric characters, those names may not be correctly displayed in Mobile
App or on the front panel display on the player, and consequently the files may not
be played back. In such case, rename the folder/file before attempting to play it.
•
Symbols and alphanumeric characters allowed in folder and file names:

Possible causes and solutions
No sound.
Sound is interrupted or noisy.
1) If the LED of Wireless Bridge flashes for a minute or more, or if it lights in red,
refer to the separate Quick Setup & Start GUIDE and redo the settings.
2) Installation of the Player and Wireless Bridge
•
The Player and Wireless Bridge may be too far apart.
Try moving the Player and Wireless Bridge closer to each other.
They should be within about 33 ft (10 m) of each other.
The transmission distance may be shorter, depending on the size of the room.
•
Is the path between the Player and Wireless Bridge blocked by columns, walls,
doors, large items of furniture or electronic equipment?
Or do people cross frequently between the Player and the Wireless Bridge?
Arrange the Player and the Wireless Bridge so there is nothing to block the path
between them.
•
Are the Player and the Wireless Bridge installed in a narrow closed space such as
in a rack or cabinet without any openings around the Player and Wireless Bridge?
Leave an opening above the Player and Wireless Bridge, or install them on the
top shelf.
Reception may improve if you move the Player and Wireless Bridge a few inches
forward.
3) Interference from other devices
•
Are any other communication devices or electronic devices using wireless waves
in the vicinity?
Try moving the other communications devices away, or turning them off.
The Player is designed to avoid interference from other devices automatically.
If there is interference, you may hear noise from the speakers, or the audio may
be interrupted.
This is a temporary phenomenon that lasts while the Player is selecting an
appropriate frequency. It is not a malfunction.
The Player and the Wireless Bridge use the 5.2–5.8GHz band to transmit audio
signals. If many other devices are using the same band in the vicinity, the Player
may fail to establish connections, and noise and audio interruptions may occur
from time to time.
