8.4 CUTTING DEPTH
The following table renders suggested cutting depth of different milling conditions.
8.5 FEED SPEED
Feed speed is determined by
S = N ×s×Z
Where:
S = table feed speed
N = revolution per minute of cutter
s = feed per tooth
Z = NO. of teeth of cutter
The feed per tooth is used in most cases. Table 2 gives suggested values of different
types of milling cutters and kinds of work material in general conditio
ns.
