CHAPTER 3. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
This chapter describes the disassembly procedures. For assembly,
reverse the disassembly procedures. For points which require special
care, descriptions are made in “Note for Assembly.”
For easy and simple replacement procedures of units or parts, descrip-
tions are omitted.

Note for assembly
(a) CF Slot Protection Card Installation
1
Insert the CF Slot Protection Card into the CF Slot with the note
Japanese descriptions facing toward the set. Be sure to confirm
the click “Sound” when inserting the card completely.

Remove and insert the card 2 or 3 times to check that insertion
is made smoothly.

If the card is inserted forcibly in the wrong direction, it may be
broken.
(b) Stylus Installation

Insert the Stylus so that the projection of the Stylus comes in the
notch of the set. Be sure to confirm the click “Sound” when
inserting the Stylus completely.

Remove and insert the Stylus 2 or 3 times to check that insertion
is made smoothly.
(c) Display Protection Cover Installation

Apply grease to the Display Protection Cover Rib and wipe with
cloth.

Check that the Display and Upper Cabinet sections around the
display are free from scratches, dirt, and dust.

Engage the Display Protection Cover Ribs to the set one by one.

Be careful not to scratch the Upper Cabinet.
5
Check that the Open/Close Lock is switches smoothly.
